*T.I.M.E.*

What did you do over the weekend? Did you relax? Did you have fun? Did you do anything that improved your existence?
Some years ago at college I had a dynamite professor. Professor Walker truly was an inspiration. One day after class I shared on upcoming event I was invited to that I wasn't keen on attending. Dr. Walker told me something that helped me make my decision.
Dr. Walker said, "Cindy, how you spend your T.I.M.E. should be Things that Improve Your Existence. Does going there improve your existence?" I loved her and her wisdom. When I remember I use "T.I.M.E" for my decision making brain...Things Improve My Existence. Cool, huh?
This weekend I enjoyed an exhilarating bike ride with my husband. We stopped at two yard sales and played "American Pickers." People called us crazy as we balanced our huge treasures on our bikes.  After we dropped off our goodies we rode to the beach and stopped for breakfast at one of our favorite restaurants, El Tapatio.
After breakfast we rode home and I played in the yard with my granddaughters and my dogs all day...Yes, all day.  (I actually fell asleep with my old dog.) My dearly beloved cleaned and painted our yard sale stuff while I did nothing. (That's usually impossible since I'm  a hummingbird.)
Anyway, the TIME I spent outside did improve my existence. For once (instead of housework) I surrendered to a whole lot of love.
