Univision Radio San Diego has announced that its KLNV-FM La Nueva 106.5 station has been selected as one of five national finalists for the “Spanish Station of the Year” award from the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB). It is believed that KLNV-FM is only the second San Diego radio station in recent history to receive the nomination. Univision Radio’s KLQV-FM won the award in 2004.
In addition, KLNV-FM’s afternoon drive on-air personality Milton Andrade Cardenas, known as “El Jarocho,” has been named a finalist in NAB’s “Spanish Format Personality of the Year” category.

Winners for both awards will be announced on Thursday, Sept. 19 at the NAB Marconi Radio Awards in Orlando, Fla.
