VENDORS AND ARTISANS SOUGHT FOR THE SUN & SEA FESTIVAL
Sun & Sea Festival Organizers Want Specialty Booths for Saturday July 16

Sun & Sea Festival organizers are seeking food and small business vendors as well as artisans to sell handmade items at the one-day, family-friendly and no alcohol event. Smaller, handmade items or specialty booths are the ideal fit for this type of event which also features a Farmer’s Market and International food booths. The vendor area has been expanded for this year’s Sun & Sea Festival. Booths will be placed along Seacoast Drive from Pier Plaza to Palm Avenue.
“This is Imperial Beach’s most well-known event and offering vendor variety and quality is good for both our visitors and for vendors,” said Shirley Nakawatase, event co-chair. “Also, new this year for vendors is an easy online process where they can apply and pay for their booths.”
Food booths serving dishes are authentic and nutritious serving quality food such as lobster rolls or international flavors are a good fit for the festival. Organizers prefer healthy, family alternatives but there will be a balance of vendors to avoid duplication. The one-day fee for open food vendors is $675 and prepackaged food vendors $550.
Artisans who make their own crafts produce one-of-a-kind items are also attractive to festival organizers. The handmade Artisan booths will also be scattered around the festival area and kept in balance so that the handmade items will not be competing with each other. The Artisan Booths pay $155 to sell at the festival.
Vendors can apply online at the Sun & Sea Festival website. Submit application and payment online or print the PDF document and mail it through the U.S. Post Office. Commercial vendors are $550 Children-specific items should be identified as there is a specific children’s area.
