• Original Tommy's marks 80th anniversary with 80-cent burgers (sgvtribune.com) — A Five Guys restaurant on South Azusa Avenue in City of Industry is set to close May 26, even as Original Tommy’s celebrates its 80th anniversary with 80-cent chili cheeseburgers this Friday. Industry residents can still snag the discounted burgers at any Tommy’s location, but should note that their nearby Five Guys is among four California stores shutting down.

• Five Guys closures hit 7 states. Is yours on the list? (rollingout.com) — City of Industry’s Five Guys is one of four California locations closing in 2026, cutting 15 local jobs as the chain trims stores in seven states. Rising costs and California’s higher fast-food minimum wage are pressuring the burger chain, which is still expanding overall but pulling back where sales no longer justify steep labor and food expenses.
