Fatal Irvine DUI crash leaves elderly Tustin woman dead, driver facing potential DUI charges (newsantaana.com) — A suspected DUI crash at Harvard Avenue and Paseo Westpark in Irvine killed an 83-year-old Tustin woman and led to the arrest of a La Quinta man on suspicion of DUI. Irvine Police are still investigating and say prosecutors could pursue serious felony charges depending on evidence. Residents with information are urged to contact Detective Gallegos as the case moves forward.

Irvine football tops El Toro with a wild finish to Foxtrot League game (ocregister.com) — Irvine High’s football team pulled off a dramatic 7-6 comeback win over El Toro at Irvine High, scoring on a last-second fourth-down touchdown pass and extra point. The nail-biter keeps the Vaqueros in the Foxtrot League playoff hunt, with another crucial matchup against Orange coming up next Thursday.
