Matt’s late wife, Christina, tragically passed away alongside Kobe Bryant and seven others in a helicopter crash in January of 2020. In the wake of her passing, Matt wrote Bittersweet Treasures: A Father’s Journey Through Loss & Healing, a heartfelt memoir that recounts his childhood, meeting the love of his life, and the devastating helicopter crash that took her life—ultimately sharing his path through grief toward resilience and renewed purpose.
