• SGV girls flag football playoff pairings: Bonita, South Hills, Bishop Amat, La Serna in D1 (modbee.com) — La Habra High’s girls flag football team is headed to the CIF Southern Section Division 2 playoffs, opening on Tuesday with a road game at Cypress. The bracket also features nearby schools like Sonora, California, and La Serna, giving local fans plenty of chances to follow regional rivals and plan short trips to support their teams in this fast-growing sport. 
• In Whittier, a city fund aimed to help families impacted by ICE raids. Most of it hasn't been used (sgvtribune.com) — Families in La Habra and La Habra Heights are eligible for emergency financial and legal help through HOT’s Bondad Initiative, funded by Whittier to support households affected by ICE enforcement. But more than 90% of the money remains unused, raising questions from advocacy groups about outreach, accountability, and whether unspent funds should be redirected to other immigrant legal services.
