From La Habra Lions Club:

"The La Habra Corn Festival is a free annual event hosted by the La Habra Host Lions Club that celebrates community spirit, local tradition—and this year, La Habra’s 100th birthday!

"First held in 1947, the Corn Festival began as a small neighborhood gathering with square dancing, bingo, and—of course—buttered corn. Since then, it has grown into one of the Lion's biggest events and fundraisers, drawing thousands of visitors for a weekend full of fun, food, and memories.

"After listening to community feedback, we’re proud to share that the Corn Festival is returning to its traditional August dates—just the way so many locals remember it. And we’re stepping it up with even more thrilling rides, promising a weekend of celebration you won’t forget!

"Festival highlights include:

  • a hometown parade with marching bands, floats, and local schools and organizations;

  • carnival rides and games;

  • a wide selection of food and merchandise vendors;

  • live entertainment;

  • corn-eating contests;

  • and, of course, plenty of sweet corn on the cob!"
