Box Office: Hunger Games Passes $300M Mark

A reboot of the popular ``American Pie'' film franchise still couldn't keep ``The Hunger Games'' from dominating the weekend box office, as the blockbuster hit topped the $300 million mark in just 17 days of release, according to final figures released today.

``The Hunger Games'' earned $33.1 million between Friday and Sunday to
top the weekend box office, bringing its roughly three-week take to $302.4
million, according to Hollywood.com Box-Office.

``American Reunion,'' a sequel to the ``American Pie'' series of raunchy
sex comedies, had a strong debut with $21.5 million over the weekend, while
the re-release of ``Titanic,'' this time in 3-D, opened with $17.3 million.
The 3-D action-fest ``Wrath of the Titans'' collected another $14.7
million, while ``Mirror Mirror'' -- the re-imagining of Snow White starring
Julia Roberts -- finished fifth with $11.1 million.

Rounding out the top 10 films of the weekend were ``21 Jump Street''
