Burglars Nab Rifles, Cash and Silver Bars
The thieves used the victim's own dolly to wheel away the safe, and then stole the dolly too, according to a report from the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station.

Burglars who stole guns, silver bars and more than $10,000 cash from a Beulah Drive home used the resident’s dolly - which they also stole - to wheel the safe out the door and into their vehicle, according to a police report.
The resident, who returned home just after 2 p.m. on Oct. 27, first realized something was wrong when she found her dog inside, states the report filed with the . The resident, who lives in the 4400 block, also found her rooms ransacked and a glass door in the back of her home smashed. She’d been gone for two hours, but did not set the alarm, the report states.
A neighbor told deputies that during the time of the burglary, she had heard the victim’s dog barking. The neighbor did not check on the dog, nor the house, but reported not hearing or seeing anything suspicious. The neighbor yelled at the dog to stop barking, according to the report.

Detectives found a towel by the victim's stairs and scratches in the wood. Authorities believe the suspects used the towel to drag the safe down the stairs, load it onto the victim’s dolly and wheel it out through the home’s garage.
In addition to the silver, $10,500 cash and the dolly, thieves stole gym equipment, four US passports, four social security cards, two rifles, two shotguns, a white gold Bulova watch, a gold ring and other miscellaneous items.
