Crime Blotter: Tires Punctured, Car Stolen

Petty Theft Vehicle
A resident in the 5300 block of Jessen Drive reported that at some time between 11 p.m. Wednesday, October 12 and 6 a.m. Thursday, October 13, her unlocked car, parked in her driveway, was entered and a silver iPod nano and headphones stolen from inside. The victim noted that the car’s alarm was set, but reported problems with the alarm’s functioning resulting in the passenger side doors not locking properly. The value of both items is $225.
Keyed Car

At 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 20, a resident in the 4400 block of Union Avenue found the passenger side of her 2000 Nissan Maxima keyed. Damage is estimated at $1500.
Tires Punctured

A resident in the 1300 block of Journeysend Road reported that while his vehicle was parked in front of his home, someone punctured a half inch hole into both the driver’s side front and rear tires. The victim noted the damage to his 2001 GMC Sierra SUV occurred some time between 8 p.m. Friday, October 21 and 8 a.m. Sunday, October 23. However, deupites could not inspect the damage as the vitcime had already put replacement tires on his vehicle. The tires are valued at $57.50 each.
Stolen Car
On Monday, Martin Vaqez, a resident in the 5300 block of Alta Canada Drive, reported stolen his 1987 Toyota F1 pick up truck.
