LOCAL MOTHER OF THREE PROVES A SECOND CAREER IN MODELING IS POSSIBLE WITH THE LAUNCH OF NEW COMPANY, THE MODEL CONSULTANT

Two Local Women in their Mid 40's Have Modeling Careers Thanks to the Expertise of Annette Dominguez O'Hair

Have you ever wondered if you have ‘what it takes’ to be the face of a product? You often hear of models being discovered “in a mall while shopping” or “at a sporting event…” but who are the people that make this discovery? Are there any trustworthy and reliable sources to help navigate industry questions without paying thousands of dollars up front for photos, assessments or being misled with false hope? The answer is yes and she’s called The Model Consultant, Annette Dominguez O’Hair.

O’Hair, who made her mark as a top producing sales and marketing manager for one of the top beauty distributors on the West Coast, forged a second career in commercial print modeling at 34 years old. She now lends her expertise and honest advice for anyone trying to break into the world of commercial print, one of the most lucrative categories in the world of modeling.

As a successful model for the past twelve years (and still going strong), O’Hair knows what agencies and brands seek, and can help guide a person in: finding the right agent, building a portfolio, creating an impressive look, understanding the business side, etc.

Commercial print bookings usually feature models in their 20s and 30s, who are attractive in a more relatable way. But many models in their 40s, 50s - and beyond - are and can have tremendous success in this arena. O’Hair has helped revive the careers of former top runway models who felt their time in front of the camera was up…but not according to her eye. She currently works with models of all ages and ethnicities including clients in their 40’s!

“Like most people, I always thought of models as the towering super skinny gorgeous teen or twenty-something. Imagine my surprise when (at only 5’7”) I started working as a commercial print model later in life,” explains O’Hair. “It has been an unexpected and exciting way to continue a career while still being able to be a full-time mother of three.”

O’Hair IS credible, honest and clear in what it takes to make it in commercial print modeling. She offers a complimentary ten-minute phone conversation where aspiring models can ask questions and get additional information about the world of commercial print. From there, O’Hair suggests an introductory meeting (in person or via SKYPE) where she can assess potential, discuss career objectives, and share information. if there are additional questions or help needed, she is available for follow-ups.

“I am truly inspired by the people I work with, and for many years I have really enjoyed helping other models with their personal career strategies. I LOVE helping people succeed, and it makes me feel good to make a positive difference and steer people in the right direction,” adds O’Hair.

O’Hair offers a unique service that is much needed for the modeling industry where so many people are scammed for their money.

Locally, O’Hair helped get forty-somethings Vanessa Nunes and Hana Oshima into modeling. Nunes, a former Brazilian Supermodel, met O’Hair during her five-year career break and realized she had a look that was still in demand. She calls herself the “comeback model.” Oshima, a former top TV/radio personality from Japan in her twenties, recently secured her first agent in commercial print and is beginning her ‘second career’ as a model.
