Pasadena Festival of Women Authors

The Pasadena Festival of Women Authors (PFWA) announced the exciting schedule of participating authors for the Saturday, April 8, 2017 event to be held at the Pasadena Hilton Hotel from 9am - 2:30pm. The festival will feature Yaa Gyasi, whose novel, Homegoing, was one of the most talked-about books of 2016; Cynthia D'Aprix Sweeney, author of the debut sensation, The Nest; and Amy Stewart, author of Lady Cop Makes Trouble, the second in her hit historical series. Other authors include Elizabeth McKenzie, The Portable Veblum, Rufi Thorpe, Dear Fang with Love, Vendela Vida, The Divers Clothes Lie Empty and Jung Yun, Shelter. The PWFA gives women authors a platform to share their personal experiences and journey as writers, inspiring avid readers.

The PFWA is a full day event including a continental breakfast buffet during registration and a sit-down lunch. Authors will answer questions at the end of each session and will meet and sign their books for attendees.

Reserved seating Patron tickets are available at www.pasdenafestivalofwomenauthors.org. Unreserved seating $95 tickets go on sale January 2, 2017. Community sponsorships are also available providing a range of benefits including program recognition and event tickets.

The PFWA proceeds support literary programs at community non-profit organizations, with past donations going to the Master Series, part of the Lifelong Learning Program at the Pasadena Senior Center, and the Writer-in-Residence Program at Pasadena City College. A portion of every ticket is tax deductible.
