Fatigued and bored with your own grilling genius? Relax and satisfy your burger craving with a trip to one of these five local spots that are sure to please with their burger selections.
There’s and in town, but where can you go when you want a server and beer with your burger or even the greasy goodness of a mom and pop spot?
When you’ve got a craving but you don’t want to go through the trouble of grilling up your own version of a double-double, head to one of these Patch picks to curb your burger cravings.
1. For an “Outright Obscene” burger, head to. The “obscene” option layers ham, bacon, and cheese onto a beef burger, serving it up with a choice of fries, coleslaw, potato salad, or fruit for a side. Magpie’s also offers a super-sized burger weighing in at hefty half-pound of ground steak topped with Swiss cheese, onion, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on a super-sized French roll. Other choices include a salmon burger, avocado bacon cheeseburger, and Cajun turkey burger. 2. While may be known for their pizzas, their menu also includes hot and cold sandwiches, including a meatball and cheese sandwich and a cheeseburger. The cheeseburger comes on an onion roll with cheddar cheese and traditional toppings with a pickle on the side. Geoergee’s will also add avocado and bacon if you want to top up. 3. Black Angus Sirloin Burgers are the dish to get at when you’ve got the hunger for a burger. DISH’s burger is a plentiful half-pound of hormone-free, freshly ground Nebraska Black Angus hand-formed into a super patty and grilled to your specifications. A bakery brioche bun and choice of fries, salad, fruit, or for a little extra, sweet potato fries, round out the experience. 4. Of course is the place for a “prime” cheeseburger. Topped with aged cheddar, Swiss, or blue cheese, Taylor’s burger is ground fresh daily from the steakhouse’s steak trimmings, making it extra lean and extra mouth-watering. 5. For a bit of a field trip and a bit of a trip back in time, hop in the car and head to The Hat in Pasadena. Famous for their burgers, diners can opt for a double cheeseburger, chiliburger, pastrami burger, double chiliburger, or even just a bite out of a junior burger – each priced under $8. The 50’s feel-good vibe and prices are sure to make that burger taste more than just delicious. The Hat, serving up yum since 1951, is located at 491 N.
