The 28th Annual National Night Out is One Week Away
The Foothill communities are invited to join law enforcement and emergency personnel for this annual event.

On Aug. 2 La Cañada Flintridge will be one of 15,000 communities across America celebrating National Night Out.
This anti-crime event is designed to "strengthen neighborhood spirit and community partnerships," as stated in a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department press release. Locally, the event is sponsored by the department's and the National Association of Town Watch.
National Night Out will include free fingerprinting for children, a variety of give-aways, and plenty of free safety pamphlets. Locals are invited hang out and get to know the Foothill's hardworking police officers and firefighters. It's also, a necessary measure in letting the criminals know the community is fighting back against crime, Dep. Jorge Valdivia explained at Thursday's Crescenta Valley Town Council meeting.

You may join the community effort from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 2 at one of these two locations: , 635 Foothill Blvd. La Cañada and Ralphs, 2675 Foothill Blvd. La Crescenta.
