Visions of Sugarplums
VISIONS OF SUGARPLUMS is an American ballet set in New York City in the 1940s during World War II. Vonder Haar Center for the Performing Arts’ production is a charming holiday ballet appropriate for the entire family. This original story tells the tale of young Jane and her Mother as they celebrate the holidays while Dad is off at war. It joyfully celebrates the true spirit of Christmas.
The seventh annual production of VISIONS OF SUGARPLUMS features Logan Hutt as Mother (and principal choreographer), Clinton Huff, as Father, and eleven-year old Sophia Wilson as Jane. Featured roles are filled by members of the Ballet Companies at Vonder Haar Center, with students from the Center filling out the ensemble. Under the direction of Tracy
Vonder Haar and Logan Hutt, this is definitely the holiday ballet to see - with dancing elves and snowmen, and a heartwarming story.
Performances are Saturday, December 20 at 7:00 and Sunday, December 21 at 2:30 at John Wayne Performing Arts Center, 1440 East Broadway in Glendale 91205. Tickets range in price from $26 to $40.
