Two really simple things to do right now

We had the driest winter in a hundred years. Chances are we'll have the hottest summer on record yet. Here's two quick and simple little things to get in the habit of doing.

1. Turn the water off while you are brushing your teeth (or shaving, or whatever).

2. When you wash your hands in a public or work place, sanitize the spigot first.

Every instructional video ever made on Covid safety wants you to leave the water running while you scrub AND leave it running afterward until you find a paper towel to touch the spigot. That's not good information for Californians.

Yes, I am two years late bringing up this second point. No one wanted to listen while we all feared for our lives. Our safety from Covid was paramount to being water wise. Let's get back on track now. Let's carry this simple idea to local legislators and change the message. Sanitize the spigot, then wash your hands. Turn off the water while you scrub for twenty seconds.
