• 85-year-old man alive and in critical condition after Napa crash, despite initial fatality report (sfchronicle.com) — An 85-year-old Lafayette man is hospitalized in critical condition after his pickup veered off Silverado Trail north of Napa and hit a tree, in a crash first misreported as fatal by CHP. The wreck briefly blocked both lanes near Darioush Winery before the road reopened, and investigators are still working to determine what caused the truck to leave the roadway.
