31 Coronavirus Cases Confirmed In Laguna Beach As Of Saturday

Orange County health officials reported an additional 75 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus Saturday.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Health officials on Saturday confirmed two more cases of the new coronavirus in Laguna Beach, bringing the city's official total to 31.

An additional 75 cases of COVID-19 were confirmed across Orange County Saturday, bringing its total to 786. The county announced one new death, its 15th, from the coronavirus.

There are 122 patients currently hospitalized and of those, 71 are currently in intensive care, OC Healthcare reported. The hospitals where people have been admitted into care were not released.

The majority of the deceased have been men, officials reported.

Currently, in Orange County, 9,797 people have been tested and there are 990 tests available for specimen testing.

As the number of cases grow, laboratories developing coronavirus antibody tests may help end quarantine for some.

Signs and Symptoms

If you are showing symptoms, such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, self-isolate within your home, and stay away from loved ones.

If you are an employer or employee at an essential location, stay home.

"You should self-isolate until you have symptom improvement, and your fever has not returned for 72-hours," OC Healthcare advises. "Self-isolation should last for at least 7 days."

If your symptoms get worse, call your doctor. If your symptoms are dire, such as pain in your chest, inability to draw breath, call 911.
