5 New Coronavirus Cases In Laguna Beach

The number of coronavirus cases in Laguna Beach grew by five on Monday to 75. Catch up on the latest news.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Orange County health officials on Monday confirmed five new coronavirus cases in Laguna Beach, bringing the city's total to 75 confirmed cases.

Countywide, Orange County has now confirmed 17,882 coronavirus cases, including 366 people who have died after contracting COVID-19.

The county has tested 270,659 people for the virus, with about 6.6 percent coming back positive. At least 8,634 people have recovered from the virus.

The new numbers came as most county beaches reopened Monday after closing for the Fourth of July weekend to prevent further spread of the virus.
