Bakery Soft Opening, Garden Tour In Laguna Beach: 5 Things To Know
Here's five things to know in Laguna Beach to kick off your week.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — May is upon us, Laguna Beach, meaning spring is in full swing and tourist season is just a month away.
Here are five things to know to get your week started in Laguna Beach:
- Residents can still purchase tickets for the 2023 Garden Club Gate & Garden Tour held Saturday. The annual tour serves as a major fundraiser for school gardens, scholarships and community projects. Residents can learn more about the event here and purchase tickets to the tour here.
- Wednesday, May 3 is the last day to donate gently-used treasures such as jewelry, tableware, kitchenware, vases, scarves, hat, purses, candles, clocks, decorations, seasonal items, etc for Susi Q's Bargain Bonanza to be held on Saturday, May 6. Residents can donate items on Monday and Wednesday at the Susi Q Senior Center, 380 3rd Street. For more information on the event, visit the center's website.
- On Friday, the City of Laguna Beach will host its regular Sunset Serenade event featuring the Ryan Heflin Band. The free event takes place at the Heisler Park Amphitheater, near the corner of Cliff Drive and Jasmine Street, and residents were encouraged to bring blankets or low-rise chairs to enjoy the show. Show starts at 6:30 p.m., and residents were encouraged to show up early.
- A grab-and-go gourmet market in Laguna Beach is celebrating its first year of operation. The Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate Mercado Laguna's one-year anniversary, and residents can be a part of the party on Thursday, May 4 at 5:30 p.m. Mercado Laguna is located at 912 N. - Specialty sourdough-focused bakery Rye Goods announced its soft opening in Laguna Beach this week. From Friday to Sunday, residents can stop by the bakery's location in Downtown Laguna Beach at 384 Forest Ave #4.
