Beach warning given for Laguna's Main Beach, Wednesday.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — The Orange County Health Care Agency announced Wednesday that portions of the Broadway Creek and Laguna Main Beach showed bacteria levels that exceeded standards. A 300 foot projection has been closed.

"A weekly surf sample is taken at the projection of Broadway Creek where it mixes with the ocean or the projection thereof when not flowing. The current status is based upon the most recent sampling result," OC Health said on their website.

As of Wednesday morning, the warning remained active that the bacteria levels at the beach exceed standards and may cause illness.
