LBHS Tennis: Breakers Wrap Up League Play With Two 18-0 Wins

The challenge for the Breakers took place at the Dana Hills Coastal Championships on Friday and Saturday, as the best teams from the San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Palm Springs area, and even North Carolina, converged upon the Laguna Niguel Racquet Club in this “collegiate style” event.

Each team matched five lines of singles and three lines of doubles in order 
of team strength against one another, with the players from each corresponding line playing an eight-game pro-set. Since the singles players also played doubles, this event was typical of collegiate tennis, and unlike high school competition.
