Burning Sunsets At Heisler Park In Laguna Beach: Photo Of The Day

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — There is a time of day when the world gets quiet, the sun has set, and the colors explode into vibrance. That moment was captured by local Laguna Beach photographer Marshall Aren

"These pictures are from Monday's beautiful twilight hour taken from Recreation Point in Heisler Park," Aren told Patch.

Aren also captured this striking image of Catalina Island against the marine fog. The striking colors and gradients make this photo appear more like a pastel work of art.

While out and about, Aren also stopped by the public art monument, "Semper Momento." The structure, which honors those who fell during the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, is located at Monument Point in Laguna Beach.
