Canyon Comes Alive With Art: Sights At Sawdust Art Festival

The start of the much-anticipated art festival brings new and familiar faces, as well as a whole lot of fresh art.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — The anticipated Sawdust Art Festival opened its gates to residents Friday, marking the start of summer festival season in Laguna Beach.

Longtime Sawdust exhibitor Ryan Gourley's recent mural, titled "Where the Canyon Comes Alive," is inspired by his five decades of experience exhibiting at the festival, the Laguna Beach Indy reported.

“I love to see the Sawdust come alive every year through booth building and fresh sawdust and the fascinating displays artists create,” Gourley told the Laguna Beach Indy. “Soon the air will fill with the smell of popcorn and the sound of live music.”
