Cirque Du Soleil Alumna To Perform At Laguna Beach Artwalk

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — A new and contemporary experience is about the hit the Laguna Beach Cultural Arts Center, and residents can get a first-hand look for free as the Sandrine Mattei Ballet and Contemporary Dance Program present a free dance showcase at the center Thursday.

Cirque du Soleil alumna and Laguna Beach resident Sandrine Mattei will perform with students and friends in the free showcase, which will be held during the city's free Thursday artwalk.

Mattei performed in the Grammy-winning Cirque du Solei show, "Love" and was a soloist in Cirque's longest-running production "Mystere," which first debuted in 1993, according to a news release.

According to the news release, the Sandrine Mattei Ballet and Contemporary Dance Program offers daily group classes as well as private classes, held weekdays at the Laguna Beach Cultural Arts Center starting July.
