Drugs Are Bad, Mmkay? LBPD's Take-Back Day a Big Success
This turned out to be the police department's most successful ever, netting 125 pounds of old and unused prescription meds.
On Saturday, the hosted its third drug take-back day, where people could drop off their unused and old prescription and over-the-counter medications for proper disposal, as opposed to merely tossing them carelessly into the trash or flushing them, where they would wind up polluting the ocean.
Or polluting bloodstreams, if someone happened to find discarded drugs that weren't prescribed to them.
The drop-off point was the parking lot. Several students from the Drug Prevention Council were also on hand to help out.
