E-Waste Drop-Off Event Coming To Laguna Beach
The city is holding a paint, universal waste & e-waste drop-off event Feb. 5 for Laguna Beach residents and businesses.
LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Do you have forgotten e-waste taking up space in your garage, or old cans of paint you need to toss? Mark those calendars, Laguna Beach. On Feb. 5, the city is hosting a paint, universal waste & e-waste drop-off event and all Laguna Beach residents and businesses are encouraged to participate.
Before loading up the back of your cars with unwanted materials, it is important to follow these safety reminders provided by the City of Laguna Beach:
- Materials should be in original containers.
- All materials must have lids, be sturdy and secure, non-leaking, labeled and protected from breakage.
- Materials will only be accepted from vehicles.
- Walk-ups or pedestrian traffic is not allowed.
Residents who wish to participate in the drop-off event are asked to bring a proof of residency, and businesses are required to bring their business license number to the event.

A maximum of 15 gallons — or 125 pounds — may be moved per vehicle due to Department of Transportation requirements. However, residents with more than 15 gallons of waste are allowed to make multiple trips to the drop-off event, the city said.

- Commercial chemicals and products.
- Sharp materials.
- Expired pharmaceutical products.
- Flammable liquids.

The pain, universal waste & e-waste drop-off event takes place Feb. 5 from 8 a.m. to noon at City Maintenance Facilities, 1900 Laguna Canyon Rd.
