LAGUNA BEACH, CA β A massive stretch of mural will be on display in Laguna Beach from April 12 through April 22, and residents can be a part of an unveiling celebration on Earth Day to commemorate not just the art β but the ocean it was inspired by.
PangeaSeed Foundation is bringing the first-ever Sea Walls: Artists for Oceans mural to Laguna Beach, the city announced in a news release.
The 1,090-square-foot mural showing the Pacific Sea Nettle transforming into plastic debris was painted by South African contemporary artist Sonny Behan. The project, according to the city, will help drive change and ignite positive action for our oceans through the "power of public art."

The program is spearheaded by ocean activist Chase Offield of the Offield Family Foundation, and aligned with Laguna Beach's mission support ocean conservation efforts.
Residents are invited to a mural unveiling event on Earth Day Saturday, April 22 at the Peppertree Lot, 322 Forest Avenue, from 11 a.m. to noon.

Following the event, PangeaSeed partnered with Project O to host a public beach clean-up. The clean-up takes place at Main Beach from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
