Waste Land is an Oscar-nominated documentary following artist Vik Muniz to his native Brazil and the world's largest garbage dump on the outskirs of Rio De Janiero. He photographs a band of "catadores"—garbage pickers—as they create images of themselves out of the recyclables found at the dump.
