Friday Wave Check

Mostly small energy along this stretch of sand.

Waking up with the waves on Friday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Laguna Beach Patch surf report.  Well, the surf has picked up a little, but unfortunately most of this latest energy is either more to the north or down south.  Overall, this stretch of sand is seeing mostly small stuff.

The conditions are starting off nice and clean, with a mix of mainly northwest swell and very little south-southwesterly energy in the water.  That recipe is offering some crumbly and fairly broken-up lines, with a few fun sections.

Most spots in Laguna Beach are seeing knee- to waist-high waves, with the focal points pulling possibly an occasional bigger set.

Taking a look at the tides... at 6:59 this morning it pushed up to a 3.3 high and then drops to a 1.6 low at 12:18 this afternoon and then climbs up once again to a 5.0 high at 6:52 this evening.

If you're going to get wet, a 3/2 fullsuit will do you right for at least that a.m session, with the water temperature averaging between 58 and 61 degrees.  Have fun out there!
