Friday Wave Check

Get out there and enjoy the action!

Waking up with the waves on Friday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Laguna Beach Patch surf report.  Well, if you missed out on the action yesterday, then do yourself a favor and go grab a session today!  Yep, there's still plenty of pretty good size surf on tap.

The conditions are starting off fairly clean, with some spots seeing some texture on the water due to the light south wind.  As far as the surf goes...we have mainly continued modest southerly swell in the water and basically no northwest energy to speak of.

That recipe is offering some fast drained out semi-wally lines, with some good pick and choose corners.  More tide will definitely help out the shape! Most Laguna Beach spots are running about waist to shoulder high plus, with the top south facing breaks pulling head high waves, with some overhead sets.

Taking a look at the tides...at 5:24 this morning it drained out to a negative 1.3 low which will have some spots desperate for water and a little inconsistent early to mid-morning.  The tide then pushes back up to a 4.0 high at 11:58 later this morning and then drops once again to a 2.1 low at 4:41 this afternoon.

If you're going to get wet, throw on no more than a thin fullsuit with the water temperature climbing up a bit and averaging between 62 and 64 degrees.  Have fun out there!!
