Gas Leak Prompts Evacuations In Laguna Beach Sunday Morning
Evacuated residents were told they could return to their homes at 11:45 a.m., after the city reported that the leak had been fixed.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — A gas leak reported in the City of Laguna Beach Sunday morning prompted authorities to evacuate some residents "out of an abundance of caution," the Laguna Beach Police Department reported.
As of 11:45 a.m., the gas leak was mitigated by city crews and evacuated residents were allowed to return to their homes.
Residents were asked to avoid the 31000 block of Sunset Avenue and the 32000 block of Virginia Avenue, as well as the 32000 block of Coast Highway. Residents living in those areas are being evacuated by authorities due to the leak.

Update: Out of an abundance of caution, the 32000 block of Coast Hwy. has also been evacuated due to the gas leak.
