Laguna Beach happenings ...

It's Thursday, our Get Out column starts off with St. Patrick's Day today! Get your green on and have some fun in Laguna this weekend.

Here are 5 ideas to entertain you, March 17-20.

  1. The Laguna Beach Film Society presents Looking for Eric                      Where/When: Regency South Coast Theater, 162 S. Coast Highway. Thurs., March 17, 7 p.m.
    Why go: 2009 British Indy Award winner guaranteed to make you laugh with a little British slapstick comedy.
    Pricing: $15 at the door, $10 for students, $20 for snacks and wine at 6 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Community Room. Film Society members are free.

  2. Where/When: 1133 Coast Highway, all day Thursday.
    Why Go: Eat, drink and be merry for a very good price.

    Where/When: Laguna Beach High School channels '80s rock in the spring play. Runs throughout this weekend, with evening and matinee performances continuing
    through March 27.
    Why go: Cool, fun musical to get you movin' in your chair and support spectacular student performances.
    Price: $12 for students, $15 for adults or $20 for premium seats.
  4. Hortense Miller Celebrate Spring Open House
    Where/When: Take the continuous shuttle bus service from the First Church
    of Christ Scientist at 635 High Dr. Sun., 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
    Why go: One of the most beautiful garden tours you can tour and photograph. Comfortable walking shoes recommended.
    Price: Free.
  5. The Hollywood Combovers
    Where/When: Held indoors at the Laguna Beach Library, 363 Glenneyre St. Sun., 3 p.m.
    Why go: Local jazz trio the Hollywood Combovers provide the music during this informal afternoon concert put together with Friends of the Laguna Beach Library.
    Pricing: Free
