COLLECTING DUST: A DOCUMENTARY FILM

Why go: A feature documentary that chronicles the Sawdust Festival during the summer of 2010. If you visited the fest last year, you may remember signs that said you might be filmed while walking around the grounds. So you just may catch yourself on the big screen.

FRESH FRIDAYS AT SALON TIARE
Where/When: Salon Tiare, 260 Forest Ave #5., Fridays, 5-7 p.m.
Why go: How cool is this free service every Friday afternoon, where you can get a complimentary bang-trim or free neckline clean-up along with a glass of wine and cheese snacks? Answer: very cool.

RICHARD MACDONALD

Why go: Meet sculptor Richard MacDonald during this exclusive one-man show, London Principals of the Royal Ballet, featuring new studies for his monument of the Royal Ballet's founder.

SAWDUST STUDIO ART CLASSES
Where/When: Sawdust Art Festival, 935 Laguna Canyon Rd. Fridays and Saturdays, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Why go: With your own unique talent, you can create an art piece with ceramic, glass, silk or other media in just two hours. Taught by professional artists in small class size settings on the Sawdust grounds.
Price: $95.
Where/When: The Laguna Playhouse, 606 Laguna Canyon Road. Through June 5.
Why go: Get girly and go out with good friends and watch this zany and fun musical (that's what we hear, anyway). You may just end up dancing in the aisles.

Why go: Three reknowned Latin American photographers, Cecilia Paredes, Cinthya Soto and Ana Mercedes Hoyos, take on the controversial social issue of being female in Latin America.
