The Most Interesting Person in Laguna Beach?

You know that beer commercial? The one with the burly, bearded Hemingwayesque character who's supposedly The Most Interesting Man In The World?

If our town had its own real-life version of that, the tag line would be something like ... The Most Interesting Manic-Depressive Glassblowing Golfing Lesbian in Laguna Beach.

Or, you know, the world. That works too. I mean, how many  manic-depressive glassblowing golfing lesbians are there?

This would be Muffin Spencer-Devlin, whose life would be interesting enough if all you knew about her was that she won a million bucks during her career on the Ladies Professional Golf Association tour.

But then there's all that other interesting stuff. Coming out in a Sports Illustrated profile. Being committed to mental hospitals when her mania spiraled out of control. And her new life as a Laguna Canyon glassblower.

Also on her life resume: parachuting, fox hunting, and guest appearances on Star Trek!
