LAGUNA BEACH, CA β€” The City of Laguna Beach's Public Works Department received an American Public Works Association Award for the recently completed Jasmine Street Storm Drain Improvement project, city officials announced Thursday.

The Building Excellence Shaping Tomorrow award, otherwise known as the BEST Award, was given in the Drainage, Water and Wastewater categories for cities with populations under 50,000, the city said.

The city's public works team will be presented with the award at the Laguna Beach City Council meeting held on Dec. 13.
