Laguna Beach Debuts In-House Ambulance Service: Photos
Members of the Laguna Beach community gathered last week to celebrate the launch of the city's first in-house ambulance service.
LAGUNA BEACH, CA β The Laguna Beach Fire Department hosted an ambulance program launch celebration July 1, and residents flocked to get a first look at the new ambulances that now drive through the city.
The city-owned ambulances are part of the city's new in-house ambulance transport service, which started on July 1. The ambulances currently operate 24-hours a day while being staffed with two EMT ambulance operators.
Laguna Beach received its first of two new ambulances in March as part of the program, which is designed to shorten emergency response times in the city.
