Laguna Beach Dog Needs A Little Help

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — If you are out and about in South Laguna Beach, specifically near Aliso Beach, chances are you've seen resident Greg Viviani and his pal "Buddy." While his owner photographs local surf competitions, waves and constructs awesome forts made from driftwood in the storm seasons, Buddy follows along, with a smile and tail wag for all.

Lately, however, Buddy has taken a down turn.

"Buddy usually hangs out with me down at the local beaches in South Laguna and goes almost everywhere with me," Viviani said. "He has been a part of my life for over 9 years now and has been my best friend, the best dog and family member I could ever ask for."

Unfortunately, with his age comes a needed surgery. An infected molar has caused discomfort and problems eating for Viviani's Buddy.

"He is a kind loving animal and is in some pain and needs anyone's help with these upcoming Veterinarian bills," he said.

In Buddy's future: a back left upper molar extraction as well as blood work and pre-surgery x-rays, along with antibiotics and medications for after surgery.

"I would totally be able to pay this but I have not been steadily working because of some slow times," Viviani said. Knowing his many fans enjoy Buddy's photos on Instagram,Viviani reached out to all through a GoFundMe page."Sometimes in life when everything piles up at once sometimes gotta ask for a helping hand. So I am here asking for any donation, help, gift, treat for my dog Buddy."

Asking for help is often the hardest thing to do, according to Viviani.

"I feel extremely upset and embarrassed that I have to do this but I simply can not afford this by myself at this time," he said. "Anything helps! I appreciate your support, prayers, good vibes, and love!"
