Laguna Beach Hours, Closures Memorial Day And Beyond In 2020
On Memorial Day and afterward, here is what you can expect to be open and closed, in and around your Laguna Beach.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — On a holiday weekend in Laguna Beach, it's typical for city facilities to be closed. This year, on Memorial Day and afterward, here is what you can expect to be open and closed, in and around your town.
Open City Functions and Facilities
Beaches — Open for active recreation with physical distancing weekdays from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. and for physical distancing recreation with social distancing on weekends from 6 a.m. until 12 noon.
City Council Meetings — Proceeding with the opportunity for the public to participate from home. Click here for instructions about using Zoom.

Committee, Subcommittee, and Board Meetings — Planning Commission and Design Review Board meetings will be conducted in the manner of City Council meetings with the opportunity for the public to participate from home. There will be an online meeting of the Emergency and Disaster Preparedness Committee on June 1. Other committee meetings are canceled for the time being.
Dog Parks — Open. Dog Parks close for wet and muddy conditions and close weekly for maintenance. The Dog Park in Laguna Canyon closes on Wednesdays and the Dog Play Area in Moulton Meadows Park closes on Thursdays.

Fire Road — Open for active recreation.
Parks — All City parks are open except Main Beach Park and Treasure Island Park. The pathways at Heisler Park are open for active recreation. Large gatherings are not permitted at City parks.
Tennis and Pickleball Courts — Open for one-on-one play only. No spectators.
Trailheads — All trailheads are open regular hours, except the trailheads at Alta Laguna which are open 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Closed City Functions and Facilities
Animal Shelter — Closed to the public, except by appointment. Residents who need to visit the shelter to pick up a recovered pet, schedule the adoption of a pet, or to purchase a dog license, may do so by calling the Animal Shelter at (949) 497-3552 between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. seven days a week.
City Hall and City Buildings — City Hall and the Community and Susi Q Senior Center are closed to the public at this time. However, City operations will continue with available staff. For questions please call (949) 497-0311 during regular business hours.
Basketball Courts— Closed.
Concerts – Sunset Serenades and Concerts in the Park are postponed until late summer or early fall, date to be determined.
July 4th Fireworks Display – Canceled.
Playgrounds – Closed.
Pool – Closed.
Recreation Classes – All in-person summer camps and recreation classes are canceled until after Labor Day.
Street Sweeping Parking Enforcement — Suspended until further notice, although street sweeping continues.
Trolley Service — Suspended through Labor Day.
Volleyball Courts – Closed.
Local Government and Public Agencies
Laguna Beach High School Track – Closed to the public.
Laguna Beach Unified School District — Schools are closed and all student-related activities are canceled through the end of the academic year.
Laguna Beach Public Library — Closed to the public until further notice.
