Laguna Beach Lifeguards Sought For Summer Season
The City of Laguna Beach is getting ready for the upcoming summer season, and they are seeking qualified individuals to lifeguard.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Do you want to know how to save a life? Can you swim roughly 1,000 yards in 20 minutes or less? The City of Laguna Beach Marine Safety Department is getting ready for the summer season, and they are seeking qualified individuals to join its lifeguard team.
Residents interested seeing if they have what it takes to be a seasonal Laguna Beach lifeguard must submit an online application by 5 p.m. on Thursday in order to participate in tryouts. Applications can be found on the city's website.
Tryouts for lifeguard positions with the city start on Saturday at Main Beach Lifeguard Tower, 105 N Coast Hwy. Check-in for tryouts starts at 7:30 a.m., and applicants will compete in a roughly 1,000 yard ocean swim in 20 minutes or less.

Applicants who successfully complete the swim will then compete in a run, ocean swim and run, as well as a sprint and ocean swim.
Applicants are not allowed to use wetsuits, goggles, fins or other swimming aids.
