Laguna Beach Police Captain Graduates From The FBI National Academy
Capt. David Dereszynski has graduated in the 289th session of the FBI National Academy at Quantico this month, the 8th LB officer to do so.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — A Laguna Beach Police Captain has graduated in the 289th session of the FBI National Academy, the 8th officer from the police department to complete the prestigious program, according to the department.
Capt. David Dereszynski graduated on March 15, becoming one of less than one percent of police officers to have successfully completed the program, according to Police Chief Jeff Calvert.
Along with Dereszynski, nearly 200 men and women from 47 states and the District of Columbia attended the Quantico session.

"Captain Dereszynski's successful completion of the FBI National Academy represents a significant milestone in his career and is a testament to his dedication to excellence in law enforcement," Calvert said. "We are immensely proud of his achievement and commend him for his commitment to professional development."
The FBI National Academy offers ten weeks of advanced communication, leadership, and fitness training and is often considered "The World's Strongest Law Enforcement Leadership Network." Officers who attend frequently go on to serve in executive-level positions.
