Laguna Beach Police Win at California Law Enforcement Challenge
Who has the best traffic and safety programs in California? Laguna Beach Police Department does, according to a recent release.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA—The Laguna Beach Police Department has won best all-around project submission for 2016 in the California Law Enforcement Challenge, according to release.
Police employees Sergeant Rebecca White, Corporal Matt Gregg, Natasha Hernandez, and Rowena St. Moritz worked together to create their submission.
Their entry won the Impaired Driving Special Award and the Rookie of the Year Award for the best traffic safety programs in California, according to report.

The California Law Enforcement Challenge gives police departments of similar size and type the opportunity to share their successes in efforts to enforce laws, educate the public about occupant protection, impaired driving and speeding.
Agencies are invited to submit applications that showcase their efforts in any of the categories and their departments' effectiveness in those areas, according to the website.

CHP Commissioner Joe Farrow will travel from Sacramento to present the award to the Laguna Beach Police Department at the City Council meeting, according to release.
