Laguna Beach Residents Gear Up For Fête de la Musique Saturday
The Fête de la Musique is a colorful celebration held each year around the world in anticipation of the coming solstice.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — Are you ready for a glorious night of music, art and dancing in Laguna Beach? The Fête de la Musique is returning to town Saturday, and residents are invited to come and be a part of the celebration.
The Fête de la Musique is organized by Laguna Beach Sister Cities and is based on an all-night celebration of music in France, according to a city statement. The celebration takes place in various parts of the world every June in anticipation of the coming solstice.

The year, the Fête de la Musique will be held at the city's newly-repaired cobblestone area, as well as the city's downtown streets.

The day will kick off with a jazz band performing on the city's cobblestone area at 11 a.m., according to the city, followed by a 1 p.m. opening ceremony.
From there, the celebration really begins. Residents can enjoy bands and belly dancers at the city's cobblestone area from 1:20 p.m. to 5 p.m., and live music on the downtown streets from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
