Waking up with the waves on Friday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Laguna Beach Patch surf report. Well, we're seeing a few playful size waves out there this morning. Overall, it's still hanging in mostly small mode.
The conditions are starting off fairly clean, with some spots seeing a little texture on the water. As far as the surf goes ... we have some new slowly building south-southwest swell, some minor southwest energy and minimal northwest windswell in the water.
That recipe is delivering some kinda crumbly lines, with a few fun sections to be had, especially on the small wave equipment. Most spots in Laguna Beach are running about knee to waist high, with the focal points pulling some larger sets.

Taking a look at the tides ... at 9:09 this morning it drops to a 1.2 low which will have some spots needing water and on the inconsistent side throughout mid-morning. The tide then pushes back up to a 5.3 high at 4:03 this afternoon.
If you're going to get wet, a short sleeve fullsuit is plenty, with the water temperature averaging between 64 and 66 degrees. Have fun out there!
