Laguna Beach Wave Check: Tuesday

Surf backs down a bit!

Good Tuesday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Laguna Beach Patch surf report. Well, our latest run of good-size surf is continuing to lose steam out there. Overall, we're still seeing plenty of playful size waves along this stretch of coast.

We're starting off with some nice and clean conditions early on. Taking a look at the waves ... we have mainly fading south-southwest swell and some minimal northwest windswell in the water.

That recipe is providing some racy sectiony lines, with some rippable corners to pick off. Most spots in Laguna Beach are pulling knee- to stomach-high-plus waves, with the standout south-facing breaks seeing chest-high waves, with some larger sets.

At 9:19 this morning, the tide climbs up to a 3.4 high, then drops to a 2.4 low at 12:45 this afternoon, and then pushes up once again to a 6.0 high at 7:52 this evening.

If you're going to grab a session, break out no more than a thin fullsuit with the water temperature hanging between 63 and 66 degrees. See ya in the water!
