Laguna Beach Wave Check: Tuesday

Sizeable surf lingers!

Good Tuesday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Laguna Beach Patch surf report. Well, the sizeable surf is sticking with us for another day. Yep, get out there and enjoy some of the action.

We're starting off with some fairly clean conditions, but don't be surprised if there's some light texture on the surface early on. As far as the waves go ... we have some good-sized southwest swell, some south-southwest energy and minor northwest windswell in the water.

That recipe is making for some racy sectiony lines, with plenty of nice shoulders, but some of the sets could be a bit walled. Most spots in Laguna Beach are seeing waist- to shoulder-high waves, with the standout south-facing breaks pulling head-high to overhead-plus sets.

There's not a whole lot of change with the tides. At 9:51 this morning the tide climbs up to a 3.6 high and then drops to a 2.5 low at 1:59 this afternoon.

If you're planning on paddling, a spring suit will do the job, with the water temperature averaging between 65 and 68 degrees. Have fun out there!!
