Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Laguna Beach Patch surf report. Well, go ahead and keep the small wave gear out for now. Yep, unfortunately we're still lacking in the size department.
The conditions are starting off fairly clean, with a mixture of mainly minor northwest windswell and some little southwesterly energy in the water.
That recipe is giving this stretch of sand some pretty weak and crumbly lines, with a few fun ones on a log or a standup paddleboard. Most spots in Laguna Beach are running about knee- to thigh-high, with the standout combo breaks pulling a couple of waist-high sets.

Taking a look at the tides ... at 9:00 this morning, it climbs up to a 3.6 high, then drops a tad to a 2.5 low at 1:12 this afternoon, then pushes up again to a 6.0 high at 7:32 this evening.
If you're going to get wet, a springsuit is plenty, with the water temperature averaging between a nice 66 and 68 degrees. Good luck out there!
