Laguna Beach Woman Goes Viral For Berating Beachgoers
The heated confrontation between a homeowner and a family of beachgoers started when the homeowner accused the family of trespassing.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — A confrontation between a Laguna Beach homeowner and a family of beachgoers has gone viral on social media.
A video posted last week on TikTok by user Rosie Garcia shows a woman berating both Garcia and her children. According to the video, she accused the family of crossing onto her property at Victoria Beach in the wealthy SoCal community.
The video, titled "Karen on Laguna Beach," had amassed more than 1.5 million views as of Friday afternoon. It does not show what preceded the woman's actions, however, Garcia told KTLA 5 that they were never on the woman's property.

"Get f—cking moving. I'm not joking around!" the woman in the video shouted while she attempted to rope off a section of sand in front of an existing rope barrier. "It's not harassment on the beach. It's harassment in my home property... Get moving now!"
Garcia told KTLA 5 that she and her family were packing up their belongings when the woman confronted them and told them they weren't allowed to have a tent on the beach.

"Ma'am, we're f—cking walking," Garcia told the woman as she and her children walked toward the stairs to leave the beach, the video showed.
"Prettying f—cking slow," the homeowner retorted.
According to the California Coastal Commission, all beaches are public up to the mean high tide line.
Garcia said she reported the incident to the commission and was told officials would investigate.
Laguna Beach city officials released a statement to KTLA stating:
“The City of Laguna Beach is aware of an incident involving a resident roping off a section of the beach near her property. Yesterday, two Laguna Beach Park Rangers spoke with the residents, informing them that such behavior is unacceptable regardless of property boundaries and reminding them that any beach-related issues should be reported to the City for mediation. Our community treasures the accessibility and beauty of our beaches, and it is essential that everyone treats each other respectfully to allow for the enjoyment of these spaces.”
