Man Sets Fire To Shed In Laguna Beach, Police Say

A 52-year-old man was arrested in Laguna Beach after setting fire to South Coast Water District Shed Friday afternoon, police say.

LAGUNA BEACH, CA — A man was arrested in Laguna Beach after setting fire to a South Coast Water District shed, the Laguna Beach Police Department reported Friday.

Andrew Bell, 52, was arrested Friday afternoon by the department and faces charges of arson, authorities said.

Laguna Beach firefighters were called to the scene at the South Coast Water District building, located at 31972 Coast Highway, in response to reports of a structure fire.

Upon arriving, firefighters found a storage shed engulfed in flames.

The fire was quickly put out, and Bell was discovered a short time later at a nearby hospital receiving treatment for file-related injury.

He was arrested and currently remains in custody. It was not immediately known if Bell is a resident of Laguna Beach.
